Why Daily Nourishment Matters During Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Parenthood

The purpose of Growing Families, Growing Roots is to create a collection of accessible, evidence-informed nutrition resources for individuals and families. Nutrition information is often scattered across books, websites, social media, and research articles, making it difficult to know where to begin. My goal is to gather practical information in one place, making it easier for families to find reliable guidance that supports pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and everyday wellness.
Future articles will explore topics such as prenatal nutrition, postpartum healing foods, breastfeeding nutrition, meal planning, family wellness, hydration, and simple ways to nourish your body during seasons of growth and change.
Goal
Growing Families, Growing Roots is also a personal journey of learning and integration. As I continue my education in prenatal and postpartum nutrition, I am committed to applying healthy habits in my own life and sharing those experiences along the way here in Humboldt County. Not every new habit will be a perfect success, and not every strategy will work for every family. However, there is value in exploring, practicing, and learning together.
